We did a lot of hiking in Glacier and JD even had to buy Bear Spray and keep it strapped on! We passed a lot of bear poop on some trails and so we were glad to have the spray. Luckily, most people never have to use it. The human voice is the best bear deterrent. We would talk to each other for hours while hiking just to alert any bears in the area of our presence. After being married for almost 5 years, we still have a lot to say. That's nice!

Yellowstone and Glacier National Park
What's it like to drive 2700 miles in one week with your spouse? Pretty great! We went to Yellowstone National Park and then up to Glacier Nat'l Park in Montana. Very, very beautiful! We also saw a lot of animals -- buffalo, a bald eagle, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, a grizzly bear (from a 1/4 mile away), a brown bear, and little critters left and right.
