Washington Weekend

JD and I went to visit my brother Aaron, his wife Shana and their 6 month old baby Gia in Monroe, Washington.  Here we are fishing at Tye Lake.  I haven't fished for years, nor did I have a license. But, no harm done. We didn't catch anything.

We actually went to the lake to see the "Pro" wake boarding contest, but decided at the last minute to try to fish.  There was actually a lot of waves and we got a little splashed.

After visiting Aaron, we headed down to Yelm Washington to visit JD's sister Amy and her hubby Ben, and kids -- Cicily, Crespin and Simon.  It was June 30th and a great day to light off fireworks.  (No fireworks for us in Denver this year -- too many wild fires.)  Ben and JD lit the fireworks while Amy and I held the kids on the tailgate of the truck.  Upon seeing a really pretty firework burst in the night sky we "oohed and ahhhed" and 4 yr old Cicily said, "I bet God liked that one too."
